If the battery is swollen, get a bucket of sand and put it in there.

If it combusts it will be at least somewhat contained...

 

Honestly it's dangerous the battery is under a lot of stress and because you can't remove it, it will likely end up completely draining itself, be undercharged and maybe explode.

Or you charge it and it might explode as well...

if the battery voltage tanks way down, that may very well be the safest scenario for a battery replacement, because all the energy is gone. however, the last thing i'd recommend you do with a swollen battery is charge the thing all the way to the top.

It's the battery swelling, no doubt.

 

Happened twice with my S5, with stock batteries.
