Hey guys I was wondering if you could give me some reviews of my current pc part list. This is solely supposed to be a gaming pc so keep that in mind please :)

This is my current pc part list https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Clemens/saved/DGLBmG Do you see any problems with it or have any suggestions to swap out some components for example for price reasons? I am currently trying to reduce the price tag on it while still keeping the performance relatively stable.

Thanks in advance :)

If it's a gaming pc an nvme drive won't have any performance advantage over a SATA SSD, so I'd recommend you swap it out for something like an 850 evo and use the money saved to get a 1080 ti instead.

Also, not entirely sure but some people have said the ML140s can get a little loud. You might want to consider something else like the Silent Wings 3s, though it's up to you.

thank you that actually helps reduce the price a lot :) i was not aware that the nvme drive does not actually have any performance advantage over a SATA SSD drive as I believed them to be significantly faster. Is this because of CPU bottlenecking or is it another factor?

how do you use night theme? ^^ im new to this forum

Near the bottom of the page, there's a THEME link that lets you switch between light and dark themes.

Your first post is in a medium gray type color that is really hard to see in the Night theme. Just leave the color on Automatic to avoid the issue.

i was thinking of using 2 of those fans to cool the kraken and using another two to breath fresh air into the case. Im not entirely sure how to set up air cooling to be the most effective, do you have any suggestions? :)

I already have a personal 2 tb HDD that I will use in the build :)

about the case fans would you recommend using the fans the cpu aio and gpu aio come with or replacing them with higher quality ones?

I would suggest not getting the extra fans yet as you may not need them.  Set everything up and check these videos,

He won't need 1tb of SSD storage lol.

A simple 240/250gb ssd and then a 1/2tb hard drive enough and cheaper than a 1tb ssd.

In boot up times and app launch times nvme drives aren't faster than sata drives at all. It's only when doing large file transfers and large reads and writes that usually are only needed by prosumers that nvme drives make a difference. Since this is a pure gaming build nvme isn't needed.

ah ok thanks :) I have a few more questions that are somewhat unrelated ^^. do any of you know when the AMD Vega cards are coming out and do you believe that they will significantly lower the prices of the current gtx 1080 - gtx 1080 ti?

Nope no idea. Some rumors are point towards April but it isn't confirmed. They could be a little better than the 1080 and 1080 ti in terms of perf/$ but my guess is it won't be a huge difference. Most likely the best you'll see is getting 5% better perf/$.

That's an 850 EVO in the M.2 form factor. It still runs over SATA III (and probably disables a couple of SATA ports in the process), not NVMe/PCIe. It's also not much more expensive than a 2.5" 850 EVO, either.

Edit: actually, at 500 GB the M.2 version is cheaper on Newegg US right now.

It's the Samsung 950 and 960 NVMe drives that are so expensive (and faster).
