MB stuck in case...

Doing a case swap when I found that my motherboard seems to be glued to a single standoff just below the IO plate. I can gently lift up all four corners of the MB but the but the centre left of the board directly below the IO will not budge. 

 

Yes, i have tried wiggling upwards, out wards, inwards, leftwards, rightwards, way wards, all without this spot budging. 

Help appreciated.

I can't take a picture right now, but I don't think it would help anyways. It's just a mb in a case as if it was screwed in, only it isn't.

Can you lift any part of the mother board? If you can get at the glue with a razor. You risk damaging the board obviously but should work.

I should specify, there is not glue, it just feels as if it is glued to a standoff.

Is the bolt still in the standoff?

Sounds like the standoff and/or case are so badly stripped that the standoff is completely stuck. Can you get the other side panel off to get behind the motherboard and give the standoff a gentle push out while you try to unscrew it from the other side?

try pushing out the I/O shield, i had the same issue but it was stuck on I/O shield

A standard ATX board has 9 to 10 mounting holes. There are 2 of them next to the I/O, on on the left and other on the right. None of them are under it. On some old boards, the cpu socket mount is bolted to the case.
