The screw holes on my 650 were the same, but that's probably cuz they are both short cards, isn't it?

Dang it, why don't they make cool stuff for us X50/ti kids?

because it doesnt make sense to spend extra money on backplate when you have a cheap card. you might as well use that money to buy a better one

yup, like rx 480

Don't like AMD very much. i used to and their Sapphire cards are good but with Hairworks it's just...nope. RX 480 is not necessarily better for $40 more. The price/performace is minimallt different (42 marks per dollar for the AMD compared to 40 for the 1050ti ssc) and do they even have MSI dragon backplates for the 480?

You seem like you need to look into that a bit more.

I am NVidia and i refused to use noobworks.

Pretty much Nvidia marketing tactic to make AMD look worst.

Turning your AA up will yeild better results

fyi i play ever game on 4k ultra without noobworks

Okay, okay, most games have had patches pushed out but The Witcher 3 with HW on on my buddie's R9 Fury X runs at like 28FPS unless he turns it off...

One game is enough for you to write off an entire brand?

RX 480 is way more powerful, there is no argument in that. but yes, also more expensive. on the other hand, instead of buying a backplate, you could have gotten more powerful card and that was my point. not talking about amd vs nvidia.

also if you dont like amd, you can get gtx 1060 3gb. either way, buying a backplate on cheap card doesnt make sense and thats why they dont make them

No, like I said I like the Sapphire cards but I expected a LOT more from Ryzen. What a letdown.

Back on topic, is it still feasible to try getting the backplaye? Or should I just get a 1060 or something?

Won't fit . you'll need a backplate designed for reference gtx 1050ti PCB's . The backplate you linked is for considerably longer PCB's , and not designed for the 1050 series.

1060 has 3gb, the games I play use more than 3gb of vram.
