Where and how should I start?

Where and how should I start? I want to test my new components and it's my first time, I need someone (no trolls, please) to help me in real time (I'm testing it outside the case). I'll appreciate your knowledge and advices very much, :).
I have this:
P.S: I bought new thermal compound 'cause I ruined the pre applied one while I was unboxing the CPU (noooob).

First of all, why pair It with a pentium.

Ok now that that is over, let's begin. Place your motherboard on a piece of wood that is flat and raised off your surface. Then, plug in the essential cables, in the pentium, then the ram. Connect a monitor to the mobo, and press f12 to open bios. It'll tell you your ram and stuff. If it's there then your good.

The Pentium is just for now, I plan to get an i5 or i7 unlocked. My table is made of wood, should I clean it and put the mobo on it? Or use the box, like @CatXice said? After plugging everything, how do I turn it on?

The box alone should be fine.

Also, should I plug the PSU (and turn it off, obviously) to ground myself? To avoid static dangers...

@CatXice@fpo♠Flamie I've already installed CPU, CPU fan and RAM, plugged 24pin and 8pin connector, what's next?

Try starting it up.

Also, my 24pin connector is missing one...

That is normal. One of the wires/pins isn't used. I think it used to be -5V.

Good thing it is a Pentium, if he screwed up at least he didn't blow an expensive CPU.

My system: CPU: Intel i5 6500; Mobo: H110M-k; GPU: Nvidia GT 730; Memory: 16 GB; HDD: 2x 1TB HDD;
