Hi all,

I recently bought AC Syndicate and at the beginning i had really good performance, 70-100 gpu usage and 90-100 cpu usage, but after the intro (where ubisoft presentes assassins creed) i got 100 cpu usage and gpu usage always below 50.

Specs: GTX 1060 3gb

           i5 6400

           8gb ram

           450W PSU

Pfff i thought my cpu and gpu would be a good combination, like is there any game i can play then without this problem wtf

Are you actually getting really bad frames?

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

You may have a bottleneck then.  You don't have the craziest GPU but that CPU is pretty low clocked

That CPU actually has pretty nice boost clock

I would try updating GPU drivers, if it doesn't help try playing with your in-game settings

Still, even 2.7Ghz to 3.3Ghz.  Plus, a well optimized game using a couple or more cores means no turbo.  TBF, I think there are other issues as well because I used a lapyop running a 6700HQ (2.6Ghz to 3.5) and had no issues

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

30 fps now on high settings, but the weird thing is that i always get the same fps no matter what settings preset in take

What monitor are you using?  If its a TV you may be limited to 30fps

It is a CPU Bottleneck, Ubishit games are very poorly optimized, even my i7 7700 managed to get max out on AC Unity, though the bottleneck was minimal in my case.

How much VRAM is being used? This benchmark, and a few others, seem to be running better than what you're describing. I personally didn't have any issues with my old 970, even with an i5-4460. As you can see, this one is the 6GB version, and the VRAM estimation is higher than 3GB. Try opening Afterburner and checking what's happening as you play.

Less than 3gb, and this is the misson i talked about in my first post, this is the mission before the introduction

Has a base frequency of 3.2Ghz

The 6400 can go up to 3.3GHz, which is 0.1GHz below the i5-4460. The difference shouldn't be so severe.

My bad, I didn't realise what mission you meant. Nonetheless, my game didn't run as poorly as you describe. Although, that was a while ago, and the game may have become worse since then.

It CAN go that high but it won't.  Turbo only applies when one core is used and no modern game uses one core.  MINIMUM 2 cores
