My first PC Build

So this is the first PC I have ever built and before I go and spend every dime I have on this computer, can anyone tell me if all of these parts work together? PC part picker says that it all works but I just want to make sure. Here is the link to the build. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZjzYtJ

I'm thinking different memory though.

Are you fine with getting a product key from kingwin or do you want to actually pay full price for a windows license?

Here are some suggestions:

  1. Get a 6700K.  Basically the same performance, but cheaper
  2. Buy a $100 Z170 motherboard.  You're paying a ridiculous amount for nothing new.
  3. Get a 240GB SSD for Windows.
  4. If you want to overclock, get a better cooler.  I have the Cryorig R1 Ultimate and it's amazing.

Yes , they are all compatible but I would suggest adding 120 GIG SSD for your OS. On a pretty high end build like this, a SSD is pretty much a must

And yeah get 16 Gigs of memory, if you wanna do content creation or something. 16 GB is kind of the sweet spot right now.

240 would be safer.  With all the files programs cache on your boot drive (no matter where they are installed), plus programs like Chrome which won't install anywhere but your boot drive, 120 fills up pretty fast.  Getting a Z170 motherboard will save on costs.

More than one memory module and I think 16gb of ram would be better in this build.

The 650W PSU seems a little excessive.  Seems like a 500W one would work just as well, as it still has a 100W buffer.

650 is nice if he decides to go SLI in the future.... but I agree that 550W is way more than enough for that system.

M.2 SSD for boot device

Just a slightly upgraded GPU

Better CPU cooler

16gb of RAM

Similar case for less

Cheaper PSU

Cheaper MOBO

so many question marks.. 120GB SSD, better CPU cooler for what? B150 mobo with a 7th gen chip, possibly may not work, and you don't get OC..

idk

So I went though and changed some parts, I already have a stick of 8gb DDR4 ram so that is not a problem. I will be streaming and making You Tube videos with this computer. Anymore things I should fix/change?
