Hello im new here and to custom building pcs. about a year ago i started my attempt at building a pc. i ended up with a asus z170 pro gaming mb with a gigabyte gtx970 wind-force oc. 16gb of gskill ripjaws ddr4 ram. at this point i ran into some money issues so i bought the cheapest compatible cpu i could find a g4400 just to get my system running and to insure everything else worked. Well i finaly am ready to purchase a new CPU and am debating between an 7600k and a 7700k. From what i understand seeing as i mostly only do gaming a 7600k is probably the best decision? also am i going to have any issues with windows 10 when i try to replace the CPU?

An i7 will give better performance in most games. But the 7600k is still a great performance. Up to you, either is a good choice. and no you won't have issues with windows

so it is as simple as remove old cpu install new one and turn pc on?

The 7600k or 7700k do not include coolers so you'll want to purchase a good cooler and thermal paste. Don't try to reuse your current cooler. You'll also want to make sure your motherboard bios is updated before you do the switch

Yes but first I recommend going to your motherboard manufacturer's site and flashing a new bios since the cpus you will be installing may not be supported on the bios version you are running.
