  • 10 months later...

Then how do you play GTA 5 on a Windows 10 with a GeForce 1060? don't say you cant because i am with a clean install of windows 10. So instead of you cant play it tell us how to get around the error. I am no having the issue on my desktop i am though having it on my laptop.

No.

Also DirectX 12 is not, and I say again, not a free lunch. You have to really know what you're doing in order to take advantage of it. And even then, higher end setups won't necessarily see a benefit from it.

Your GPU likely supports the older Direct X api.

Or the other way around. (Direct x may support your gpu)

Idk how the technology works deep down but most of the time your computer is backward compatible with older software.

Just use DX9 through DX11 like the rest of the world.

Instead of freaking out, you should try asking questions. It generally works better.
