Wouldn't this just download the game twice? And also like 30 games that are on my D drive got uninstalled, do I have to basically reinstall every game?

no, assuming the game is already downloaded and steam doesn't detect the game

if it randomly uninstalled without your permission, i would highly suggest checking crystal disk info to see if the drive is going to kick the bucket soon

but yes, you will have to reinstall the game if it got deleted.

Just randomly out of nowhere all the games on my d drive"Uninstalled" but I can still see the files when l go into file explorer. This happened before and my games my games came back. Don't know how I did it though. Help please. Thanks

Crystal disk info

disk utilities (windows), see if it's detected by windows

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

This happened to me with 1 game earlier today, and it made me reinstall just like 20MBS of data, and found the rest. Was yours also on steam???

im stupid, i just reread your question and i misinterpreted it

assuming you're using steam, goto steam, 'download' a game but set the destination to your games folder

Okay dude, just tried it and it worked. Every game that was "Uninstalled" on my D drive is now back. Thank you.

glad you got it figured out.  In case anyone else is having a different issue, I had a very similar issue on Sunday but I could not see the files on explorer, the steam library on that drive showed as corrupted.  I ended up fixing it with chkdsk and all was good.
