CPU - which should I buy ? (2017)

Hello,

 

I´m planning to upgrade my system by buying a new cpu. But I don`t know if I should wait for Ryzen 5 or if I should buy a Intel alternative. My budget is between 200-300€. What do u think? Should I wait for Ryzen 5 or should I buy a Intel CPU and if so why ?

everyone recommends either a R5 or an i7 or something, without knowing the performance of the R5. just wait until april and find out.

ryzen 1700 would be better at streaming  in high quality, with vary good gaming performance.

Just because the Ryzen 7 chips are not quite as good as the 7700K for gaming doesn't mean they are not still extremely good. Just because the Maxwell Titan X was slightly better than the 980Ti at gaming doesn't mean that the 980Ti wasn't better suited for certain applications (ie lower budget or SLI setups)
