Ideas for a second job for weekends?

jeffmeyer5295

YoYoYo

Hey guys just wanted to see what you guys recommend doing as a weekend job? I don't want something awful(dishwasher, cleaning rooms, courtesy clerk for a grocery store all count as awful) as I don't NEED a second job, more of a time filler and to build up some extra cash. I currently work in IT full time, Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm.

Any Ideas?

Idk if that's enough info, lemme know.

Thanks!

This is off topic, but I'm just wondering how you got your job for IT? Like, what kind of experience, certifications, degrees, etc did you need to get where you are today with your full time job? (And do you enjoy it) Thanks

Delivering pizza was the best job I ever had and you can make some decent money (tax free cash) working a few hours on the weekend.

Start your own business, like hire a nerd type thing where you go to tech illiterate types homes and set up their home network, wifi and other random stuff.  Make use of your preexisting skill set.

Picking up blueberries and selling them or mowing lawns? Just ask Luke and Linus.

No Problem, I got into It through contracts, taking anything I could anywhere I could. Build up experience and eventually something permanent. I have no degrees or certificates, just raw experience in multiple enterprise environments.

Was that hard on your car at all? Was all the wear and tear worth the extra cash? Just curious.

I do already do something similar to that, build and repair pc's, My issue is getting it out there, I have an add on craigs list of course, do you have any other recommendations on how to get noticed?

Mow Yards and in the winter do some Snow Removal. Become professional Youtuber?

Lol not going to be doing that sort of stuff, just not my thing. And I wish I had the patience to stay consistant on youtube xD

Lol kind of in the same boat as the previous quote about snow removal and mowing. Just not my thing.

Little to none, the amount of extra miles on my car was negligible. On an average 4 hour shift I did maybe 10-15 deliveries but most of the time it would be 2-3 deliveries at a time so while one trip might have been 5 miles both ways it averaged out to much less per delivery. The only thing that might be an issue is tire wear, but that would depend on the conditions of the roads in the delivery area more than anything. I never had any extra expenses for my car as a result of delivering pizzas.

EDIT: I should also point out that the majority of the miles I drove were highway miles so again, it might be different depending on the delivery area.

Thanks for the info! What pizza place did you deliver for? Or any you might recommend I try?

A lot of boys I work with are barbacks or security at local clubs/bars. You still get Sundays to chill, and all day off saturday, and you get some decent cash from working Fri/Saturday nights.
