Nissan Teases Possible Google Glass-Like Device Ahead of Tokyo Auto Show

Ethnod

Wow this looks huge. Seems Nissan is teasing us with a Google-Like wearable device, they are to announce it at the Tokyo Motor Show which is in 10 days. Its called Nissan's 3E and tbh I can find nothing other than the tease video and this picture.

There is a lot of speculation out there and as from the video and this picture you can see there is a working screen but what are Nissan doing? Is this going to be some kind of HUD? But if so, why the head gear? why not directly integrated with their cars? that would be loved and instantly taken on by millions but this for driving? All I can see it doing is distracting you and affecting your peripheral vision

Any thoughts?

How to stand out in public for all the wrong reasons 101. Until they manage to fit this stuff into a contact lens, I'd sooner walk out in a furry costume than be seen wearing glasses like that.

They've managed to put a single LED in to contact lenses so far and make it work. We're still a little while away.
