What is a good price for a used GTX 760 or 770?

Hi so I am building a cheap used PC and I was wondering what would be a good price for a GTX 760 and what would be a good price for a GTX 770. The reason why I am after these older cards are because they are much cheaper than any new card today, but I was wonder how cheap do they have to be in order for it to be considered a good buy?

I sold my 760 for 70-80 CAD before. You could start off with that price

Look around ebay, local craigslist to see how they go.

I would avoid getting older cards like that because you lose out on allot of new features when a new and better card may only be a few dollars more. Take the 1050ti for example. It outperforms the 770 and is nearly the same price as an average used 770.

i managed to get a guy to sell me a gigabyte GTX 760 2GB for $50 USD. Now I am wondering is it worth the $50 or should i might as well get an RX 460 or 1050 for $100

I'd say around $80 USD tbh. Sold my 760 for like $120 USD back september i'm sure the value has derailed since then. Don't think it would be worth getting an older card unless you got a really good deal. Like $40.

If you buy older cards.. I mean something like the 280x you can't pass up. The 760 is likely to go for $70 which at that point the 270x is a better buy and the 770 is likely to go for $90-$100 and at that point eh 280/x is a better buy. The 290/x are better buys over the 780/Ti

Check r/hardwareswap they tend to sell GPUs pretty cheap

1050 Ti costs around 130 dollars new + tax is around 150-160, I'd get a 970 or 980 for that instead

I agree

there should be cards hitting the used market soon as the 1080 ti are coming out.

1050ti outperforms it. so as long as they are a good amount less than that.

Or you can get a 470... that shits on them all for $135-$140.

Looking att he prices, 2GB 770s are not worth it. They seem to go for $80 shipped but at that point, eh. No thanks, 2GB of VRAM is not worth it. At that point spend the extra $20 on a 280/x on a 280x for 3GBs of VRAM. 4GB 770s seem to go for $120 but the 280x despite 1GB less outperforms it. But then you have to think... is it worth spending $35 more over the 280x to get an RX 470? Way less power draw, means cheaper PSU, much more performance, 470 is about a 290, slightly behind iirc.

Example: One of the best 470s, for $145 after a MIB. They have gone down to $130 on Jet before.

Ya, if you can find one for that price. I see 750Ti's going for $50-$55 shipped.

I don't know if I agree with the features comment but you can typically find the 950/960 for a few $ cheaper than the 770 here.  It's the better card to have and it should have longer driver support.  The 7970/280x can also be found around the same price.  A bit older (and commonly used in bitcoin stuff), but also a really good value.

In USD all these cards can go for around 100.

how much would you consider to be a fair price for a GTX 770 4GB? I see people trying to get $150 out of them while a new GTX 1050ti costs $140 new with no tax and free shipping from B&H. And the 1050ti is much more power efficient than the 770.
