DVI is just a connector.

It either carries an analogue signal or a digital one.

This is determined by DVI-A, DVI-I, DVI-D, etc...

 

Inputting a digital signal is better than analogue, so unless you define what DVI you're talking about, HDMI is the best.

I don't mind either DP/HDMI as they are similar on the latest versions anyway, depends on what you have in mind though. I don't have DP on my TV so have to use HDMI 2.0 there, but can use either on my monitor as it has 2*HDMI/1"DP.
