Hey, I'm getting a P67 board soon that I will pair with my i5 2500 and want to set the multiplier to 41x, which is possible with this CPU and board, I know that for a fact, and was wondering what cooler to buy. I know lots of people buy the Hyper 212 EVO but that's out of my budget, which is 30€ tops, but it depends if I need more fans. My case is a NOX PAX 3.0 and I only have one 12cm fan in the front bottom of the case, if I install a tower cooler like the tx3i, would it be worth to install a fan in the back, pulling the air outside?

Many thanks, Bruno.

if you can't afford a hyper 212 or something of like that it probable be better to save some cash and aim for that.

side question how do you know that it will overclock in the that board or with that i5 2500 ?

The P67 chipset let's you set the multiplier 41x, 4x higher than the 37x turbo boost.

You can see if you can pick up the Deep Cool Gammaxx400 its cheaper than the Hyper 212 Evo and is on par if not better.

Yeah, I do, but somehow it lets it set the multiplier to 41x, and besides, I'm planning on upgrading to an i5 2500k or maybe an i7 2600k in a few months.

What you guys think about the Nox Hummer H-212? It's a pretty cheap spanish brand, at least here in Portugal. My case allowance is up to 145mm height for the CPU cooler.

It performs similarly to the M9i. http://www.razorman.net/reviewshardware/review-nox-hummer-h-212/

It should be enough for your oc.

That's great, what about case fans? I can add one 80mm fan in the back and two 120mm fans in the side panel, would it make a good enough difference that justifies the extra money? What about thermal paste though? Is an aftermarket thermal paste worth the extra 5€ or so? Artic mx-4 and silver 5 are about 5€ here, would it be worth over the NOX included paste?

Why are you looking at getting more fans and thermal paste when you only have a budget of 30€?

Hey, I'm getting a new cooler, could you guys please recommend me a good cooler from this site up to 35€ with similar performance to the hyper 212 EVO? I heard there are some cheap cooler that match the 212 EVO.

EDIT: My case allowance is only 145mm.

Many thanks, Bruno.

How much difference is there between these two? Here's my situation: I can buy the 212 EVO for £25 + £9 postage and I will have to buy a new case as it won't fit in the case (case website says it's 145mm, but in reality, it's about 155mm) , or, I can buy the gammaxx 400 for 27,90€ that will be a tight fit, but will fit anyways. Another option could be the raijintek aidos. I'm buying from here.
