there is a really possibility that the r7 1700x might give the same performance as the 1800x for 100 dollars less after both of them are overclocked so i would wait for reviews.

Wait for benchmarks and reviews...  What are you looking at for more motherboards to be released?  AMD is unifying most of their new CPUs and APUs to operate on the AM4 socket...  Main difference at that point is which chipset you get with your processor and what features each chipset supports.
