Looking for a decent laptop

I need a good keyboard, prefereably mechanical but as long as it is nice. RGB keyboard an added bonus, but all I can find is really expensive. 1080p IPS, decent at gaming but good monitor quality. Around $800 but maybe $1,000 or above depending. Any help?

This, but replace the ass panel with a generic LG ips panel for $50 and source a good hdd (they like to use slow ass sshds)

The thing is, do I really want to be opening up my brand new laptop, voiding it's warranty and so on?

Replacing the panel is dead easy on the inspiron and putting in a new hdd doesn't void the warranty. Dell doesn't have to know that you replaced the panel and as long as you put the shit one back on then they won't notice the difference.

No I know it's quite easy, done it before. Just talking from a users point of view where they would have just purchased the laptop so replacing a screen like that wouldn't sound too good but I guess I see what you mean if the screen is really that bad.

Other than the screen, the laptop is actually built fairly well, but literally ALL the budget went into the new hardware found inside of it.

I think replacing the SCREEN does void the warranty. Not sure. Can someone else confirm. I know for Dell and MSI, their warranty is pretty loose, but replacing the screen is pretty big in their books.

Oh, I'm nearly positive that it does void the warranty, but if he does actually need to send it back in then all he has to do is put the original screen back on and it is unnoticeable.
