100 yrs ago there wasn't enough technology to implement it.

Neural Networks and other machine learning algorithms were invented 20 yrs ago, only implemented until recent years because computers then weren't powerful enough to handle the load

Computers still cannot calculate their way out of the laws of physics though.

Railway tracks can be built to mitigate the issues of expansion or contraction from temperature changes, although very hot days can still cause buckling, this is a lot trickier with vacuum chambers.

Ever since Musk started borrowing tunnels under Los Angels, it was decided to put the hyperloop underground. If that will be the case thermal expansions shouldn't be as much as a problem, but earthquakes could be very very bad.

Exactly... India seems like a big earthquake zone as well though. I mean that fact that india is pushing into the plate asia sits on is the reason the Himalayas exist.

The plans they have got as of now is mostly the safe zones(mostly )

So long as the loop doesnt cross a fault line then it's plausable, though going down a  pipe at the speed of a bullet in a pipe that only takes a small rupture the distrory the whole track doesn't seem like a greta idea. The shockwave caused by a faulure would send a shockwave of air down the pipe that would everyone inside.

Not really. But there was a competition, where more than 1,000 applicants from renowned universities tried to build an hyperloop pod. I think they are still in the "test" phase, but so far, only 2 or 3 teams managed to make a somewhat proper pod (very small, could probably only host one passenger, if any) that could actually move by itself for a few meters (they are originally pushed by something else to get to a minimum speed). The fastest one reached about 58 mph (again, only for a few meters, after being pushed to a speed of 50mph first by that "pusher"). So yea I don't think this Hyperloop thing will ever work, there are too many inherent problems and we have way better alternatives than that as means of transportation.
