Surface Pro 4 Resolution

So, i know the Surface Pro 4 has a 2736x1824 screen resolution, which is slightly above 2560x1440. Does this mean the Surface Pro 4 can play videos in 1440p, or will it play in 1080p instead?

it can play 4K videos if you want to, just as much as it can play 1080p or 360p videos (provided the video in question is in that resolution).

So it can play in actual 4k or is it downscaled to 1080p? I mean like, my computer has a 1080p monitor that can play 4k, but it's only 1080p, ya know what i mean?

It's still 4K video, it just physically shows you 1 4th the pixels it has (which does look sharper than regular 1080p). But yeah, it can show all the pixels of a 1440p video on the screen. If you play the video at full screen though, it will stretch them out just a bit though (not noticeable)

Awesome. This is something I was curious about, but nothing came up about this question in Google.
