are you looking for help choosing a board, or are you looking for specific differences in $176 boards in the Z170/Z270 variety?

If you're not going to take the time to tell us what you need help with, why should we bother to take the time to pry it out of you?

chances are very very low you will ever use Optane.

each specific model and manufacture will have different features, so you will need to find boards with the features you WANT. if you want Optane, then you will 100% NEED a Z270 as Optane is only availible on the 270 chipset.

Think of MBs as features, and not a performance part.

If you have a Skylake CPU then there is no use in getting a Z270 chipset mobo. Z270 is for utilizing all the features of Kabylake CPUs.

like i said, you will likely never use Optane.

no one knows what the price will be. If you shop like that, you'll never buy anything.

buy what you believe you will actually use.
