So I just recently just made my own Gaming Desktop and I think I messed up the way I set it up so everything runs perfect but the hard drive. Every time I boot up my computer it's slow and takes a while now once it is in the main home it takes a while too load my files or my app logos and the disk is at 100 percent usage should I upgrade to an SSHD? What should I do to not lose my windows 10 (don't want to pay again). Should I clone it? What software? How can I make it run better? (First Build.) What GPU should I get?

Desktop-

Motherboard- MSI B150A

CPU- i5-6600K

Hard Drive- Toshiba 2Tb (Red)

As long as you use the same motherboard, Windows will activate again if you reinstall. Did you buy the HDD new or was it used? Seems like it's dying. I would get a cheap SSD for boot and another HDD for mass storage. SSHDs don't live up to their hype so are not worth their extra cost over regular HDDs. They will never match the performance of a standalone SSD and HDD.

Did you get a Toshiba P300 or L200?

It's nothing you did wrong. Hard drives are just slow.

I'd buy an SSD, and use that as your boot drive. You'll see some pretty good improvements that way.

Pretty sure you can see it new in the box in his picture...

The SSHD can match the speed of an SSD in some circumstances. So it's not a blanket statement.

Okay that was my biggest reason as if I should Clone it due to windows 10 pro. But I'll get an SSD and keep the hardrive for storage!. Yes the hardrive is new 2TB

Yeah I just wanted too see what was my best options but next build for sure I'm not going to get a Hard drive I just play some games and that's it. But once I get the SSD shall i transfer the data on the Hard Drive to my SSD or just start fresh?

Start fresh. Windows will recognize the main drive is a SSD and enable TRIM. Sometimes weird things happen when you go from hard drive to SSD using a clone.
