Hi all

Theres currently a bunch of specials happening and I'm selling my 1060 at new price. I'm wondering what 480 to buy. I have a 1440p monitor with Freesync. Silence is important to me and my build theme is black/red but I'd take a better card or a better deal over colour matching

My options are a Powercolor Red Devil for R4300/ $330.32

Msi Gaming X for R4880/ $374.88

and XFX GTR for R4500/ $345.69

Is the Red Devil a good card? I can afford all of them but I'd definitely appreciate some saved money. All are 8gb. I really like Gaming X and I can get it for a bit over what I paid for my 1060. The others cards I will be making profit off of this

Owning an XFX card i'd be a bit biased in answering :P but the GTR editions are very good.

Though it sucks that the XFX logo can only be white so it won't match your colour scheme. Could always get some of the red led hardswap fans to help it match a little better.

I have elements of White in my build so the white will still look great.

yeah the xfx gtr and the gaming x will have very similar performance so the xfx seems like the better option based on price.

I've heard the Gaming X is quieter? The few extra MHz won't matter if I have a jet next to my ear. My build is pretty silence focused

I'd go with the Powercooler. I'll take a beefy cooler like that despite the fact its probably very loud.

It has a terrible heatsink actually.

yeah idk if its 30 bucks quieter. the msi gaming x is definitely a really solid card so if you wanted to get that instead it wouldn't be a bad idea.

The gaming x isn't 30 bucks quieter and the GTR isn't a loud card. Go with the GTR.

In my country it's GTR or nothing :(. And it's on sale anyway for much less than it was. Anyone have more opinions on the Red Devil? It's the cheapest but I can't find good reviews as they're all just making Satan jokes

edit: also I have very high ambient sometimes of about 37C, even my Armor 1060 is at 76C in games

I had the chance to visit Taiwan again last 5 days ago and AMD Card over there is are Cheap I mean I purchase my ASUS RX 480 8GB STRIX OC for about $210 USD. and I saw that MSI and ASUS Top of the Line Card are almost prices same so if you can do what I did and haggle as much as I can before leaving the country it was a great chance.
