Will a 450w be enough for a overclocked 6700k and GTX 1080

520w? Specifically seasonic m12ii 520w modular? is that enough

The title says it all- will the corsair cxm 450w be enough for both of these parts, or is a major price and wattage leap to the m12ii 520w from seasonic be worth the extra cost? is there a good middle ground? i'd prefer modularity but semi is enough and if its a better, i'd go with on modular (If cheaper). keep in mind these are hypothetical upgrades from this build https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/BYLnwV.

Yeah 450W should be fine, that's what's in mine.

With no overclock the system should be fine, but i would buy a 600w PSU if you want to "future proof" the build, and allow some headroom for overclocking.

It can work, but with OC on everything something in the 550-650W is recommended for some headroom.

It will work but erm...a tad close?

I mean the worst that could happen is the OCP tripping...unless it doesn't then possible bang...

500(+)Watt PSU suggestions:

Antec True Power Classic 550W for 60 would be a decent choice :P

Bequiet straight power E10 550W

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I know, i was asking whether the 620w non modular or the 520w modular would be better. id prefer modular but if its a little close, ill go with the 620

Yep, the system will use about 350-450watts~ (depending on the clockspeeds) so...you now do indeed have a nice buffer :P

Good. The 1080 was actually a typo anyway, i meant 1070 but that just means more buffer especiallyas i might xfire my rx 480 if i get one
