Best anti-virus

Hey guys does anyone know the best anti-virus or malware protection? I'm looking for one that uses as least system resources as possible, and doesn't spy on you.

windows defender is somewhat reasonnable, and if you go to super shady websites, you'll get tons of malwares and not even the best antivirus can keep up if you just allow all the scum and villainy of the internet into your machine

Common Sense is not an antivirus, nor is it effective against everything. Common sense only works when the websites you encounter do not have malware installed, whereas even websites you trust, including this very forum, could have malware running which could be installed on a client machine. The entire idea that common sense is the only thing you need is completely false. Common sense should be the primary defense because it prevents many issues, but security software should be there as a backup.

use any free version... Avira, Avast... etc...

none windows defender is the best and not because it's great, none of them will catch everything, but because it has less security bugs than what other suits do.

 

People for get that programs have bugs and when its the security software that's bugged malware has full rain of the system.

 

don't go downloading from stupid websites, disable flash and you'll pretty much be fine.
