Hello guise, well my 780's are getting a we bit dated. I am considering an upgrade for a 1440p 144hz monitor. Red team or green team, single or sli config.

it sounds like the GTX1080 will be the good buy

 

or Wait for AMD Vega and decide to buy that

I'm running 1060 on 1440p 144hx and it's great if i turn down some settings. Try the monitor first. Your cards should be fine for a while yet unless you HAVE to have ultra on everythinf

Adaptive sync is a good thing to have, so you should either get a G-sync monitor, or wait for Vega. get the vega equivalent of a GTX 1080.

 

alternatively, if you don't want to wait, you should buy a GTX 1080
