Posted November 7, 2013 I've been wondering this for a while, I'm getting an ATX Motherboard for my new rig, And was curious, What the difference between ITX and XL ATX Mobos. My knowledge so far about them: ITX: Pros: Compact, Easy to fit in certain cases Less heat output Cons: Less memory slots Less PCI slots native Doesn't support newer CPU's Less I/O ports XL ATX: Pros: More PCI Slots Octo ram slots (2x4) More fan/Heatsink plugs More SATA 6/Gbps Connectors Cons: Larger, Harder to work with Only supports 2011 And up socket processors More expensive Correct me if I'm wrong. Posted November 7, 2013 Itx- has issues with heat, and there are some itx motherboards that support new processors XL-ATX- i'm pretty sure that is all true Hope I could help!
