Yep thats pretty much it. For the extruder calibration just followed this 

 

And then set my layer height to 0.3mm, used vernier calipers for my z axis calibration.

Now for those instead of trying to hide their stuffs, in their closet or somewhere, they can proudly put it on display and no one will think anything about it. That is when someone points to it and ask what's that? Better come up with some good excuse. :D
