Help choosing a laptop

Pichel

I want a laptop for school, but I want to game on it too, I am thinking in buying the Asus ROG GL702VS, witch it's not available yet....

I choose this laptop because it's very powerfull and easy to transport in you bag, it's thin and light too.

I want to know more about the release dates because I'm from Portugal and maybe it will take a while to get here...

But if you guys know other laptop witch is close or better than the GL702VS, tell me please.

I prefer an 17" inch screen, and my budget is arround 1500€, max 2000€

Asus ROG GL702VS specs:

Processor: Intel Core i7-7700HQ
Memory: 16GB DDR4
Storage: 512GB SATA III SSD + 1TB HDD
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB
Display: 17.3" FHD 1920x1080 120 Hz G-SYNC Display with Wide view Panel

I found this but it's only available in USA, unfortunatly...

I found this too, it's the page of the laptop I guess, it has all the specs

Thank you

Why don't you try looking at sites in the EU? For example UK, ESP, FR and DE. There's no customs charge to pay, the only down side is you won't get a protugese keyboard (though I do not know if it's different to the ESP one), but you'll get a larger range and maybe a better price. Do you have a budget?

REMILIA Mk.IIIE CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X, Cooler: Arctic Freezer II 240 (Noctua NT-H2), RAM: 4x 8Gb sticks of Patriot Viper Steel Series 3600 CL17, Mobo: AsRock X570 Taichi, GPU: Inno3D RTX 3080 iChill x4 10G, Storage: 1TB Intel 670p NVME SSD boot drive, a few 1TB and 512gb SATA/NVME SSDs for game storage, 6 hard drives 1-4 TB, PSU: Corsair RM750 MY2019, Case: Cooler Master Mastercase 5 MC500 (with add-ons, Noctua NF-A14 and Arctic P14 fans), PCIE Cards: Cheap Chinese Marvell 88SE9215 4 port SATA card, Sonnet Allegro USB3.2 Card Monitors: ViewSonic Elite XG270QC (165hz, 1ms MPRT, 1440p, VA, Freesync PP, pneumatic stand), Hp Z27n (IPS, 60hz, 1440p, 8Ms), iiyama G2530HSU-B (75Hz, Freesync, one in landscape, one in Portrait, all on pneumatic monitor stands).

Hmmmm... As far as I can see the Portugese keyboard is the same layout (ISO) as UK keyboards, but with a few minor differences.

If the Asus ROG laptop you want is not coming to your country any time soon, one thing you could do is buy the UK version which will cost you about 1550 EUR, and put stickers on top of the different keys with the correct keys on top.

I'm not sure if this is worth doing.

And yes the seller below will ship to portugal.

First, thank you for trying to help me, but I can buy that here in Portugal, the difference is that the GL702VS (witch is what is want) has an GTX 1070 and 7th gen processor (i7 7700HQ), and that is the GL702VM witch has an GTX 1060 and 6th gen processor (i7 6700HQ). That's why I can't find any laptop with all of that, if you see the specs of the GL702VS you'll understand why I choose it over the GL702VM(GTX 1060, 17") or the GL502VS(GTX 1070, 15")

Thank you again!
