Is there a way to see how many hours an SSD has been running (like you can with an HDD)?

Just use something like crystaldiskinfo to view it.

SSDs have smart just like HDDs, however my mushkin triactor seems to track hours since the last reboot, rather than total hours, for some reason... (and no, i'm not overlooking a statistic, it *only* tracks hours since reboot)

I forgot what drive I have, but it's going on about >28000 hours. I think it's one of the M500.

I didn't think SMART would track power-on hours the same way....for some reason. I can't think of a reason why it would be different, but yeah....

I know, I was just curious to know how many hours I've used my laptop for. 

 

And the answer....12,517 hours since October 31st 2013. So 521 days of power on time out of 1183 days of ownership. So probably about 480-500 hours of actual use. That's a lot. That's 150 days/year of 24/7 use, about 10 hours/day.

still better than a boot drive with 3 hours on the clock, with two storage disks almost up to 3 months :D

The notorious OCZ Agility3 is still powering my Mums PC (I bought this SSD when it launched)

They were also rife with issues, outright failures, instant death at random times, UN-identifiable and all that...

Many reports.

 

Gotta admit, still smiling at mine, Never skipped a beat.

I almost got the Agility 3, but I ended up with my trusty Crucial M4 (which I had to RMA once about one year in).
