Posted January 25, 2017 Today, we have 2 contestants. Intel Pentium D @ 3.2 GHz Dual Core vs. Intel Celeron @ 2.4 GHz Dual Core Advantages of Pentium D: -Higher clockspeed -4 MB of Cache over 1MB of Cache Advantages of Celeron: -Much lower TDP (130W<65W) -Newer Manufacturing Process (65nm<45nm) Both of these would be an improvement over what I have now, a Pentium T2370 (1.73GHz Dual Core which got the 4th lowest cinebench r15 score of all submissions on the forum) Also, Performance > Efficiency. I have a decent cooler to cool it. Newer Celeron will perform better than a extremely old gen Pentium. When they are part of the same family, then of course Pentium will have the better performance.
