The ROG logo the backplate of the GTX 1060 does not light up. It does on the RX480.

I really do not care about the Free Sync technology, Strix 1060 beats RX 480s ass, i don't want to fanboy, but i go for what performs the best!

The Strix is the best thing i can get without going for a 1070.

Depending on the game, but in games like GTA V, Overwatch, Battlefield 4, Star Wars Battlefront, that's certainly true

they are pretty on par. they both win in certain areas.

You have to account for different VRAM models too

Regardless, I find no reason to get 6GB 1060s over 480s. AMD has FreeSync (cheap) and AMD cards use revolutionary FineWine technology that nVidia simply cannot combat!

Edited the post and now it is fixed.

For the GTX 1060 3GB vs RX 480 8GB, we know that 

RX480 4GB>GTX 1060 3GB in 99% of games...

If you play a lot of 2015 titles, GTA V or Overwatch? Those are reasons to get a GTX 1060 over an RX 480.

The difference still isn't significant enough to pay much more for G-Sync. I don't doubt that the 480 will surpass the 1060 in almost all titles by summer

Doom is a Vulkan/AMD friendly game. Rest are neutral imo

No, take a look at the games tested, performance hasn't changed by more than 1-2fps in older titles..

Newer titles perform better on the RX480 because of DX12 support, not because of FineWine...

With the exception of GTA V as well. Nvidia performs much better in GTA...
