Posted January 17, 2017 Hi, wouldn't it be better to get a single RX460/470 instead of spending money on older less power efficient card you might not be able to find at acceptable prices? Posted January 17, 2017 But ASUS had a really high ratio of lemons on the 280x, would be surprised if that didn't include the 280 (huge backlash from users reporting corrupted VRAM) Well I guess if you buy used, you'd be able to ask the seller if the card has problems. I actually thought it was the 200 series, but it turns out the 300 series are the really bad ones which perform equally as bad as reference. As you're after an R9 280 you shouldn't have to worry about the cards being abused since it was pretty much the 290/x cards that were being used for that purpose.
