DVI 24+1 to vga adapter doesnt work?

Faridi007

Hey guys

I recently bought a DVI to VGA adapter cuz my pc doesnt have a vga port. (picture)

Now I tried it out and my displays (I tested on 2 of them)  just doesnt recognize my pc.

Now I wonder , is the problem the adapter or my pc??

Wrong adapter. The GTX 10 series (or 1xxx series both I guess are correct) do not output analogue signals through DVI like the older cards do. You need an active adapter.

So I need a displayport dvi?

Or something else

Displayport to vga if you want a vga output with the newer cards.

I am a paid professional, but only when I am at work...and getting paid.
