The Dell s2716dg is on sale on the Microcenter website for 499.99USD, and after waiting months to see a good deal, would anyone say to wait for competition from the newer 8k monitor and the 244hz releases? Any advice would help!

8k at affordable price is ways away, go for 1440p its a sweet spot.

I just meant it as a means of competition leading to slight price drops, probably not a very reliable option at this point for this monitor's specs though.. I should have made that clear in the original post.
