AMD Shenanigans at the Ryzen booth?

As shown in this video near 2:15 seconds, AMD appears to have a "Stock Cooler" on their 6900K. But K Series CPU's don't have stock coolers, and the closest one to it I can find doesn't support LGA 2011-3, or is from like 2011, and meant for slower processors...

 

Plus that cooler looks like it would throttle hard either way.

 

Can someone prove this wrong, or is AMD straight up lying?

They could have put the cooler that you linked, which it looks like, and it might be thermal throttling which would make the  AMD Ryzen CPU look better compared to Intel's Skylake CPU  running at 80-90% its full potential due to thermal throttling.

apparently intel does make an "aftermarket" stock cooler for x99 cpus

 

and it would not throttle unless amd oc the 6900k, since intel stays true to their tdp under stock frequencies. once you push a cpu past that, tdp goes out the window

Why would me laughing at AMD being AMD indicated I don't want them around? 

 

1) It's funny. My favorite was when their website crashed at the end of the countdown at CES.

 

2) the lack of a price hike on Kabylake,  is because of AMD. That's good.

 

But AMD deserves to be laughed at for how bad they lie. All companies do it. But AMD is just about the worst. Actually kinda pooping my pants because don't want them to go anywhere,  but Ryzen is looking more like a dud every day.

This post makes my head hurt. Couple of points:

  • I doubt thermal throttling would show a consistent reading (ie: consistent frame rate)
  • I don't think it'll thermal throttle, stock coolers never thermal throttle and you know, as long at there's a half-decent cooler on the processor, there's no way it'll get to 90+ degrees.

Probably due to someone wanting to see the world burn and/or the huge amount of traffic received just for the giveaway. Either way, yes, the hosting was shit. What about the lack of performance improvement? And don't bring up the other technologies for 4K Netflix. Sure they can keep the price the same, but a substantial performance increase would be nice as well..

You have to keep in mind that AMD has to pay for these things and that 2011 cooler is probably dirt cheap.
