I have a friend who is a teacher and is looking for a new laptop as her current one is pretty bad. Do you guys have any suggestions for good laptops around or below $800 and comes with word and such.

He needs a pretty cool looking laptop if you understand.

Laptops don't come with Word. Laptops come with Windows (or OSX) on them and you need to buy Office (which has Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) separately. Office comes in a subscription form and a 'one time buy' option.

The subscription is a 1 year thing (either for 1 or 5 devices) and costs roughly 60 or 85 euros respectively. There is also a 'one time only buy' version. The 2016 version. This one is roughly 140 euros.

Anyways, in terms of laptop what I would recommend.. I think Asus has some nice offerings with their Vivobook laptops. Otherwise Acer has a nice small model. It's an Acer Swift (can't remember what the new Kaby Lake ones are called) with an i3 7100U, 256GB SSD storage, 4GB internal memory which comes in a 14" shell. The laptop itself is 1.5KG heavy, so it's easy to carry around. It has two 'normal USB ports' and 1 USB Type C port.

It comes with Windows 10 and you need to get Office with it separately. There is also an i5 and 8GB version of it, which is roughly 100 Euros more where I live.

Her current laptop was bought from HP and it came with office and such already installed and activated
