Used Windows Product Key

Tkwon

Hi guys, I currently built a new pc, but I want to activate windows on it. I am trying to use my old Chuwi Laptop's product key on my new PC. Are there any risks being involved? If so, what are they?

no real risks, just most likely wont work as laptops are almost always installed with oem versions of the software which is linked to the mobo.

laptops generally have OEM OS's that already are reported with the hardware.  The key generally does not work on other hardware configs.  However, if you look hard enough, you can sometimes find legit OEM copies of Win10 for as low as $10.  I got one not long ago for $30.
