I'm not sure SLI is a better choice... But if you think it is then how much did you pay to buy it?

and u don't buy a titan x for indie games

1080 sli will be a lot better

especially 4K or 144hz 1440p

sli is supported in litterly everything

and if a game doesn't support sli 1 1080 will be more than enough for it

That is wayyy too optimistic. Not to mention a shitty ~60% scaling with the 2nd GPU.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White

60 percent is actually insanely good because it get harder for the gpu to make more frames the higher the fps

so if ur getting 100 fps and 2 cards lets u hit 160 it's actually a 100 percent scale of usage because of how much harder it is to punch the frames

thats why sli scales better at 4K because it's at a generally lower fps

its easier to go from 30 fps to 60 at 4K that 130 to 160 at 1440p

60% at best, for instance Crossfire scales significantly better on average, watch this video:

Lots of games "support" SLI, especially if you're willing to wait for it. But not all games support SLI well, or give you good return on your investment in the second card.

Wrong.

People like to hold onto the first thing they hear, so they hate on SLI. Meanwhile it's a great way to get better performance than a single card can offer. And scaling? Look at the diminishing returns on larger GPUs? No one says "Don't buy that 1080, you get better fps per core using a 1060."

I paid 600 a year ago for my 980ti Hybrid, 400 for the second a few weeks ago. That'd 1000 bucks and I get the same fps or better than a Pascal Titan X. Using last gen architecture. How much is a Pascal Titan X? Oh yeah, 200 bucks more with a blower cooler not a AIO...

Come on people, open a damn book. SLI is awesome,  for the right people. Want to game at 1080p 60hz, SLI is not for you.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I no right I'm sick of people bashing sli when they aren't currently running it, or used it in the last 3 years

mine were 850 all in

not far off of the 1080 price

People tend to parrot videos too much. Get what you need to work. I'd run another 1080 if my CPU could handle it. Sli is always the better option.
