How do i screw it in?

In this PC im upgrading theres a big ledge directly above the place to screw in the I/O shield for the video card.

How would i overcome this?

Could you post a picture or link to the case? That's kind of a weak description to go on.

if u can't get it in at ALL try using a different expansion port

It may have to be pulled aside as it serves to cover the screw and their threads.

You want to get rid of it? Get some Snips and cut it off as cleanly as you can.

Just use a hex head screw and a small ratchet with a knuckle to work it from an angle.

I suppose either cut it off, try to do so cleanly. A saw of some sort or metal clippers. IDK what that is even for, perhaps to route a cable over the Mobo or something, IDK. Hard to say.

It may be beneficial to smooth it out afterwards to get rid of any sharp edges that could cut people or potentially scratch PCBs.

Your case is missing a part. Those are NOT screw holes. There should have been another piece that's a lever/lock that clamps on the top.

Not really. A lot of OEM cases and server cases use this. some of them even lock with a padlock (or kensington lock) through a hole in the case to prevent things from being stolen.
