Hello all,

I am on the market for a new GPU to play all games at 1080p Ultra at 60fps or more. I like to mod games and play games like fallout 4, BF4 ,BF1 GTA V, and Much more. My choice as of now is narrowed down to GTX 1060 6GB and RX 480 8GB. No custom cooler model yet picked on either. What one would you suggest and why? I cant decide.

SYSTEM

i5 6500

MSI h110 gaming MOBO

EVGA 700 80 Bronze

Gskil 8gb ddr4 for a bit of system REF

Thanka!

what is your max budget for the GPU?

both GPU are now pretty much equal

AMD drivers are way better than first launch and closed the gap in DX11 games

DX12 is where the RX 480 shines

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

For those games, GTX 1060 6GB. Not sure why a lot of people on this forum are saying the Radeon RX 480 is the outright winner when in reality both cards trade blows.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

The cheapest one to be honest. All cards perform more or less the same.

With the others (FO4, BF4, BF1) being more or less the same. There's a performance gap of at least 25% in GTA V between the RX 480 and GTX 1060.
