New to Melbourne Australia, anyone want to hang out?

ElZamo92

Hi, I just arrived in Melbourne all the way from Mexico. I'll be staying here for about 5 years to study Automotive Engineering at RMIT, but the thing is that I don't know anyone here, and I've been kind of lonely for the last couple of days. So... anyone want to hang out?

When I graduated from uni, I lived alone so I know them feels. It's really difficult to get accustomed to (as soon as I could I got out of there and into a shared apartment). Something that you do need to fend off the loneliness is a good social life but I take it that you're struggling with that. However, university isn't somewhere that you should be lonely, and you get out what you put in. I'd get your arse down to some societies and activities. They're the best way to make new friends and don't usually cost an astronomical amount. Failing that, you could always join slimming world or something, right?

Melbourne is an amazing city, i hope you make some friends soon through your studies but in the meantime why don't you check out the science museum in Spotswood? Or maybe the aquarium?
