Can't Enable DDNS on SBG6580... Help Please?

So I'm trying to set up a home file server so that it can be accessed from anywhere (I already got it set up so that you can access it from anywhere on the network but still working on outside of the network) and I was following this guide and it told be to configure DDNS on my router. So I logged into my router (which is an SBG6580) but when I went to the part where it tells you the DDNS service and there's a little thing where you select if it's disabled or enabled or whatever the only option was disabled... There literally was no other option... Wat.

Also quick question that I forgot to ask... If I set up an SSH server on my router (so, for example, if I went to China and wanted to access the web uncensored) would it make me seem like I'm on my home network? And if so, will that mean that I can access the file server through SSH?

this is why i just used a vpn when i was in china - if used set up an SSH on the router, i think u may be able to fool them

Just checked and it seems that my router with its current firmware doesn't support SSH . Do you know of anything about my first question though, since that's the more important one right now

first see if the router itself allows it or if it's just the firmware - if the firmware is the restriction but the router can run it, then flash some newer software onto it or something

It seems to allow it but I can't find the issue anywhere else on the internet. As well, it seems if I need knew firmware I need to contact TWC (my ISP) to do it and they will only do it if it's because your internet won't work otherwise
