I5 4690k or I5 6500

Im going to upgrade my cpu, I game on my pc, I play games like Overwatch and rust. My question is do I get an i5 6500 or an i5 4690k

  • CPU: AMD athlon  860k
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte F2A58M-HD2
  • RAM:2x4gb HyperX Fury
  • GPU: XFX R9 380 4gb
  • Case: NXZT S340
  • PSU: EVGA 650G
  • Display: BenQ GL2460HM
  • Cooling: Hyper 212 Evo
  • Keyboard: Corsair k60 
  • Mouse: Steelseries Rival 300 (white
  • Sound Logitech g430
  • Operating System: Windows 10 64bit

4690k will perform better on alot of games, but some games the 6500 will be better.

Why 4690k or 6500 though? 4690k's are about the price of a 6600k, so you could get that instead.

To add onto RKRiley, see what Zen offers soon. I think people said release dates will be announced at CES and see if you can wait until then.

I bought my 4690k used for $150, so if you could find a deal like that, I'd say its definitely worth it.  Just gotta be careful who your buying it from.  If your not overclocking, the 6500 would be better.
