Uap ac lite or ac lr?

pbx2
Go to solution Solved by andygrawell,

I have the LR ones, I also used the Lite version for a test, and it couldn't go through ceramic bricks, so I would go for those LR ones.

How much they cost when compared to LR ones?

Is it worth the extra money for the extra 2.4GHz range on the Ac Long range? Or is the lite a better option, I am planning to buy it right now so I need to know.

also would like to know the cheapest place to buy them.

It all depends on your usecase, it would be helpful if you write down your usecase here.

And for the cheapest place, tell us your location.

Well I need it for access to my server, I want internet connection outside of my house.

It won't have any internet connection because it will be on a lan network.

United Kingdom is where I am.

It's an older house so I should think so, but the inside walls are a bit crap, probably plasterboard or stud.

fairly normal size.

The LR is £95 and the lite is around 75, which is a fair saving for me, I could use that savings for something else.

In Czech Republic, the LR (UBNT UniFi AP LR) ones cost the same as 2.4/5GHz AP AC Lite.

Maybe try to find a store where they'll lend it to you for a test, and give the lite one a try.

Computer stores are a rarity here, I guess I should just buy it. I hear it's really good so I will bite the bullet.
