Family TV replacement

Lays

My mom was thinking about getting us a new TV for the living room for Christmas but we weren't sure what to get.

We went looking around and saw the KS8000 55 and 49 inch Samsung quantum dot displays at a store, and they looked fantastic compared to everything else there.

We were wondering if there's anything better in that price range, both TVs were $999, however our current entertainment center only fits the 49 or smaller.

the samsung KS8000 is a good choice. just make sure where you get it has a nice warranty and ability to return / RMA it. because i've been hearing some very mixed quality control assurance on that panel lineup.

They had it on display next to like 20-30 other TVs and it was clearly the nicest looking despite not even being the most expensive, I figured I'd ask here to see if there was any downfalls or anything better for our money. Thanks for the help so far, I'll wait for a few more replies then we'll probably go try and pick it up sometime this week if we can.

It is indeed an excellent TV, and is hard to beat at this price.

i got the 55" KS8500 on sale through my employer pricing discount from samsung for 799.99 and it is great, i am happy with it, only difference is the 8500 is curved (which i cannot tell much of a difference to spend extra on it)
