I absolutely HATE prank channels in general, but I feel even more hatred when they play pranks on children who are easily fooled (I.E. pranks where there is a ps2 in a PS4 box or Xbox in an Xbox 1 box). The children easily get fooled sure, but are super emotional and fragile. Just don't do that to a child. Unless your child wants an original Xbox or PS2. Then it's probably much more acceptable.

Um... Yeah, something like that, if the child is that emotional fragile, they have an issue.  It's called being spoiled.

yes and kids playing jokes on their parents is fine.

I mean come on kids aren't stupid, never saw things like funniest home videos? those kids from the 90's came out pretty fine I find(except the PC bs and the ones wanting to protect everyone against small stuff)
yes kids are fragile, but guess what? it also prepares them for life, life ain't fair and easy. life ain't always nice, surprises aren't always a nice thing, these parents are actually teaching their kids something, they learn and they toughen up, so what's wrong with a joke? Besides, these boxes have products, do you think they don't get them anyway after the video ended?

It's not gonna toughen them up at all. Where the hell did you get that from? Plus, kids have higher expectations due to their spoiled life today, so it causes harm, and doesn't toughen them up. Plus, unlike a child, a parent can probably still be stable after a joke.

I think if I were to play a joke with my (non existent kid) I'd have the gag gift and the real gift. Lol I'm not cruel enough to ruin their Xmas by not getting them a console but in reality if they asked for a console I'd put a potato in the box and they'd get a PC as their real gift.

yes and whose fault is it that they have those high expectations? jokes like that just smack them back to earth, something everyone needs every now and then. if it would "damage" kids so badly then it might be a mental problem that comes into existence when they get raised or through their education. Kids do need protection and love, but protecting them from everything only makes them feel more important and special, then you end up with people that can't relate to each other and try to protect everyone that can't speak for themselves. owh wait...

I was a kid and my parents played t hat prank on me I would be pissed for two hours. There's nothing wrong with it, and when the kid finds out they're gonna 'be famous' that makes them happy.
