Posted December 23, 2016 I am looking to build a rig that will play Rift, War Thunder, World of Tanks, and Eve Online on max settings. Also most steam games like Prison Architect, Reassembly, Factorio, and others of that nature. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4kPRwV Also note that I chose the motherboard I did so that in the future I could move to an i5 6600k of i7 and OC if needed. I believe I have choosen pretty good parts. I am not worried about cheap as much as I am future expansion and longevity as I tend to keep computers for 5-8 years before replacing them. Posted December 23, 2016 Don't get that PSU. EVGA G2, G3, GQ are all fine or lower budget like Corsair CXM or Seasonic S12II I would get cheaper HDD and try for a 480/1060. Much better or even a 470 would be better 8GB RAM. RAM is the easiest thing you can upgrade and 8GB is fine for today
 That is great for upgrading to an i5, the GPU is a little weak, but you gotta do what you gotta do. A budget $50-60 SSD would go a long way. Not to confident in that PSU tho. I have ran all my current games on low setting with a GT 430 and it plays them all just fine. I can't see speeding the money, perhaps I am missing something or need persuading. My current setup is a 120GB SSD with the OS on it and a standard 1 TB HDD but the HDD is aging and I don't trust it at all. Looking at reviews and youtubers the hybrid seems worth the cost. However, I have no real world experience with a hybrid drive. Advice is welcome, perhaps a RAID 5 of 1 TB HDD's would be a good path for mass storage. This is still well under my budget. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/pistol22cal/saved/#view=mJYNGX
 For the price of the 3 drives needed for a RAID 5, you can get a 500GB or 750GB SSD. Proper management of storage (move games that you're gonna play into the SSD, then move them out once you're done) is a boon that allows you to never have to feel the slowness of a HDD. The hybrid drive usually can only put 16-32GB on the fast bit, and manages what should be there for you. It's a neat thing, but it won't make your games load faster unless they're the one game that's on the SSD bit. And you don't get to tell it what to put on the fast bit. For instance the Hybrid drive you got there only has 8GB of fast storage We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now.
