How hot is bad?

Is 73 degrees Celsius bad with full load? i5 6600 btw 

Its like 43 on idle

NO, low 80's not ideal but useable, high 80's probably safe for short periods, 90's Burn baby burn.

 

FYI, thats about the temps my OC'd to 4.5 6700k hits under stress testing.

We got people with Core 2 Quads running. They get as hot as your CPU.

FYI, thats about the temps my OC'd to 4.5 6700k hits under stress testing.

my old centrino duo laptop ran at 95°c for most of its 6 year lifetime, and that thing got hammered. the first hardware issues were the fan and hard drive, the cpu is still alive and well after something like 3 hard drives and 4 fan swaps
