how to make it up to my friend?

Hey all so I just left my college for Christmas break.  Today our RA apparently inspected our rooms to make sure they were fine.  Me and my other roommate apparently failed the test and my friend has to stay to clean up after us.  He just texted me about it and I apologized and said that i'll make it up to him.  I really feel like a dick :( 

Anyhow do any of you guys have any ideas of how I can make it up to him?

Just buy him a 24 or something.

But in regards to GIVING him a 970? That's a pretty big gift for having to clean a dorm room a little. It was him room too, and it's not like you ruined his xmas.

Well, WHY did your rooms fail inspection? It might not even be your fault.

Why don't you just apologize and move on? If you expect to give people several hundred dollar gifts every time you maybe cause them an inconvenience, you're gonna need a good job.
